Data Methodology

Source priority

We rank sources in the following order:

• Government publications, brand websites, official PDFs, and official price lists
• Authorized dealers and established automotive platforms
• Professional automotive media and independent testing
• Forums and social platforms only to surface potential issues—not as primary facts

Price handling

Prices are stored per variant with currency, price type (official, dealer, promotion, estimated), source, and last-checked date.

When multiple prices exist, model pages show a range and variant tables show the price tied to that trim. Promotional prices display validity dates when available.

Specifications

Specifications are normalized to canonical units (kW, kWh, mm, km) for comparison. When brands publish conflicting figures, we prefer the latest official market sheet and note discrepancies in editorial review.

Powertrain labels are corrected when marketing names differ from technical classification (for example, mild hybrid vs full hybrid).

Update cadence

High-demand models are reviewed at least monthly. New launches, facelifts, and major price changes trigger targeted updates. Each model page shows a last-updated timestamp when available.

Calculators

Loan, charging, and total-cost calculators use editable assumptions documented on each tool page. Outputs are estimates—not quotes from lenders, insurers, or charging networks.
